farmingdale graffiti

I am wondering how long our town of farmingdale will let this go before they decide to clean this up. it's possible the powers that be aren't aware of this. I'm thinking maybe we need a graffiti hall of  fame like kitty of new york portraits wrote about.

this post is a part of my world tuesday. to share a part of yours or just see more of others, please go here, thanks to klaus for hosting with his team of helpers, sandy, wren, fishing guy and sylvia.

I hadn't seen any graffiti in a while, maybe because of the quite little backwater where I live. When I ran across it recently it was a shock.
They say the best way to combat it is clean it up right away.

Yes, I've heard the same thing -- clean it up right away, but it doesn't always get done that way here in Seattle. And there is lots of graffiti here, but mostly restricted to particular areas. Whatever, it's sad to see! Great shot, Lily, as always! Hope your week is off to a great start!

I simply can't imagine a world (as the little part where I live) without graffitis: it wouldn't be possible here, these things are now endemic and beyond any possible cleanup...

Somehow this face cheers me up, but graffiti run wild isn't good.

BTW, I found the food site with the mushroom recipe while Googling for some other recipe!

This graffiti is different - at least it's not rude. I thought the cold would limit this activity.
Lovely photo.

I like it. It's funny. But maybe in another place.

ha, what a huge face!
I'm sure leaving it is pretty terrible, since there probably isn't too much graffiti (therefore it stands out).

I'm looking forward to warmer times, and I can go to such places like the Graffiti Hall of Fame. Thanks for the mention!

Is it raining out there today? gah!

It is a great piece of graffiti but still inappropriate. It is a shame these artist are choosing that manner to express themselves, most of them have talent.

Someone's idea of Homer Simpson?

What a waste of someone's time and energy. And how rude. People just don't think.

As graffiti goes, this is really nice. I hope they leave it a long time.
Traveling in eastern Europe several years back, I saw SO MUCH graffiti. Much was nasty, but some was really wonderful. My daughter taught there for a year, and had her class clean up a stretch of it, then paint a very colorful mural in its place.

Graffiti is a world-wide epidemic.
grrrrrrrrrr.......

There's a vacant building in The People's Republic of Berserkely that is tagged almost nightly, cleaned up daily, tagged again at night. It seems the building owners would want to post a sentry at night to stop this nonsense...
