big apple reflections

Reflections-in-Times-Square

as I post this I wonder if the government may be shutdown before midnight. I guess we will all know when we wake up saturday morning. whatever the case may be, I hope it is for the best.
meanwhile, please enjoy this photo taken while riding in a taxi during my last trip into manhattan. I love the painterly quality of the reflections found in this building. if you'd like to see more reflections or add your own to the mix, please check out james of newtown area photo's wonderful 'weekend reflections' meme. thanks James!

Fantastic capture and reflections as always, Lily! It does indeed look like the Big Apple! Well, it does look as though they put something through in DC tonight -- whether it will work or keep things moving???? Who knows???? Hope you have a great weekend, regardless of Washington Mess!

I was in the city yesterday, was gorgeous! On my ride down, sat with govt. workers who were actually hoping for a day off! Didn't sit well with me but just amazing! Glad they were able to keep it going for a bit anyway.....the Macy's Flower Show was really beautiful! Have a great rest of your weekend!!

Beautiful... I like the blue bow tie. But wavy reflections like that are wonderful, light twisting every which way.

Wonderful reflection, Lily!

I have to say cab rides are the best for taking photos. You get a very different point of view, one that isn't often seen.
