Forget Me Nots for Mother's day

Another one of my favorite flowers though quite a challenge to photograph - since, like the Dandelions I shot the other day, it was hard to catch them still. It has been very breezy here again lately. Mother nature has been busy blowing all the seedlings around planting things for Summer. Speaking of which, today is Mother's Day here in the United States. I wish a very Happy Mother's Day to all of you moms out there! I hope you enjoy your day and I also hope you realize how vital you are to life as we know it on this planet.

"An ounce of mother is worth a ton of priest." ~ Spanish proverb

I love the colours in your shot, lovely shadows.
Forget-me-nots are common in song and poetry, but not so common around here. Such a lovely portrait of them. Makes me want to plant some.

They are such pretty little flowers and I can totally relate to how hard they are to photograph. They are always moving in the wind.
Great capture!

Lovely! Don't you just love the name of these flowers? It would be a fun job to be a 'flower namer' :)

When to the flower so beautiful
The Father gave a name,
Back came a little blue-eyed one--
All timidly it came;
And, standing at the Father's feet,
And gazing in his face,
It said with meek and gentle voice,
Yet with a timid grace,
"Dear Lord, the name thou gavest me,
Alas! I have forgot."
The Father kindly looked on it,
And said, "Forget-me-not."

I think you did a wonderful job of capturing these sweet flowers. But you're right about the wind—it's been pretty fierce around here!
Happy Mother's Day to you!

Flowers are hard to get right even when the wind isn't blowing...but you did a great job here! Did you set your camera to shutter-priority?

Hope you're having a wonderful day!

You got them! Sometimes when I am trying to catch a limb or a stem in the not so still air, I use my other hand to steady it out of frame ... but you got it perfectly .. and a lovely shallow depth of field as well
