priscilla inspects hurricane sandy's path of destruction

it was a tad bit frightening lying in bed listening to the gale force winds blowing through the trees surrounding our property last night - enough so to prompt me to get out of bed & watch the news until the winds died down. I just read that there were at least 10 people killed during the storm, many by fallen trees. I am very grateful as of this writing knowing that my loved ones are safe and sound. tonight I will light a candle in honor of those who are working so hard to put things back together again and for those who are suffering as a result of sandy's path of destruction.

Oh, thank heavens you, Priscilla and your loved ones are ok. I've been thinking of you and sending you my best. May those helping with recovery and restoration stay safe. Take care, Lily ~ big hugs.

wow.

I'm so glad you're all right! We've been watching the news all day, and because our neighborhood is relatively intact, I feel like I'm watching something going on in another country. It does not seem so close by.

We are very, very lucky. Mark and I keep saying it to each other.

Stay safe, Lily!

That Priscilla is such a cutie! Glad you got through Sandy without too much damage. The pictures on the news are pretty scary.

Our daughter's house in Long Beach has water in the downstairs apartment. It's very close to the Boardwalk and her husband is going to go to New York (they live in Nevada) to see what can be done.

Precious (and precocious?) Priscilla doesn't look very impressed.
I'm so glad you and yours are safe and well. You were certainly on my list of east-coasters to worry about and pray for.

Oh that's so sorry for the tree. But it's good it did not hit the houses. I am sure it really gave a big thud! It's good you are okay!

The loss of life is tragic.

And some of the property destruction is just incredible.

OH, I am glad you are okay. Marianne's sister had to evacuate. And Priscilla looks good. Imagine where that gale force would have carried her.....

So glad to know that you and yours weathered the storm! My mom's home near the bay in Massapequa took on several feet of water—after 60 years in that house, she's going to have to find another place to live.

So glad you came through this unhurt Lily, it's horrific that people lost their lives. Mother Nature can be so cruel. The video in your previous post was amazing, those big tall trees would have had to hold on tight!

I think you could write a book about the adventures of Priscilla...a kids' book, maybe a series. Priscilla, the crime solver.

I am a little confused via the mug that you sell in your gift shop. How come the hasta don't get their props?

And we are all grateful you are all safe and sound. The wind is frightening. Here we have HUGE old trees topple with just fierce wind/thunderstorms. It's amazing.

Hugs,
V
