priscilla inspects hurricane sandy's path of destruction
it was a tad bit frightening lying in bed listening to the gale force winds blowing through the trees surrounding our property last night - enough so to prompt me to get out of bed & watch the news until the winds died down. I just read that there were at least 10 people killed during the storm, many by fallen trees. I am very grateful as of this writing knowing that my loved ones are safe and sound. tonight I will light a candle in honor of those who are working so hard to put things back together again and for those who are suffering as a result of sandy's path of destruction.

I'm so glad you're all right! We've been watching the news all day, and because our neighborhood is relatively intact, I feel like I'm watching something going on in another country. It does not seem so close by.
We are very, very lucky. Mark and I keep saying it to each other.
Stay safe, Lily!
Our daughter's house in Long Beach has water in the downstairs apartment. It's very close to the Boardwalk and her husband is going to go to New York (they live in Nevada) to see what can be done.
I'm so glad you and yours are safe and well. You were certainly on my list of east-coasters to worry about and pray for.

And some of the property destruction is just incredible.
