my green slushy
inspired by the abundance of fresh cucumbers my dad has growing in his garden I decided yesterday was the day to pull out all the stops and make time for something I've wanted to do for ages; pull out the brand new nutribullet my parents gave me for my birthday last february. besides, I like being cool & lately I keep hearing the buzz about how hip it is to carry a green drink en route to wherever it is hip people go too. yes, I am now officially hip! I should tell you that my recipe isn't the greatest and was a bit slushy at the end. perhaps I didn't drink it fast enough but I couldn't stomach drinking the slushy end of it and using a spoon didn't seem the least bit appetizing. being that I'm in favor of not wasting nutrients, I decided to mix it up again in the bullet with a bit more water which turned out to be not too flavorful. I have some ideas on how I can tweak it. I'll keep you posted.
(thanks mom & dad, I love my nutribullet)
all amounts are approximate since I don't measure well and often alter things as I go
my hipster green drink ingredients:
1/2 of a cucumber
1 cup raw spinach
Braeburn apple

filtered water

I'll send you my dog. She LOVES cucumbers, and knows where the greenhouse owners in the neighborhood throw out the ones that aren't the right shape for supermarkets.
