please click on photo for more interesting details.of summer! but that doesn't mean you can't go to the beach anymore. in fact now is actually one of the best times to go. you don't have to pay to get in. it is very quiet. and because there are no crowds you can set up camp almost anywhere you'd like. If you want to, you can even ride your bicycle on the boardwalk. and if we are lucky enough to get some warm days back, you can still swim in the ocean because right now the water is warmer than it was in June.

Don't you just love the beach this time of year? This is my favorite time. The weather is still nice and the crowds are gone.
Thanks for the comment on my crab photo. I'm surprised that you've never seen blue-claw crabs on Long Island. People line up along the piers and "fish" for them with traps and chicken pieces on string. They really are a treat to eat!
Thanks again,
Alida (Long Island Woman)
Hello Lily,
I love this photo because it reminds me my "home", in southern Tuscany (Monte Argentario). Thank you for visiting my Verona Daily Photo, I hope you'll come again. I will, your site is beautiful...
I love the empty beaches! I have friends who think I'm odd because I'll pack up the kids and we'll hit the beach in December.
I could've sworn that September 23rd is the last day of summer! Maybe I'm wrong. I miss the beach!
which beach is this?
Free is good!
Alida's site is on my sidebar if anyone wants to check out her blue-claw crabs photograph. She is a great photographer.
Thanks Valeria, I will definitely be back to visit you again. I love Italy.
Dear Luv, I think taking advantage of our beaches year round is a nature lovers dream.
DH, According to my calendar, It
says the Fall Equinox is tomorrow! Hard to believe, I know.
Ken, it is Robert Moses, one of my favorites.
Hi Bobbie!
Wow, that is a CLEAN beach.
I won't mind a couple of weeks vacation at a beach house.
Very nice view. I like these empty relaxing sunny beaches.
