I have never seen anything like this before. do you think the homeowner is Irish? I wouldn't be completely surprised if he isn't. after all, everyone is Irish around this time of year. whatever the case may be, as I came upon this house, it made me smile. have you ever decorated your house for st. patricks day?

Weird!?! I used to have a decorative flag I clipped onto a flag pole. It had a leprechaun and a four leaf clover. That's about as much decorating as I ever thought of doing.

This is SO Long Island ... and so amazing ... I have never seen any St Pat's decorations outside a card shop or at a St Pat themed party. What other holidays do they decorate for?

When the kids were small, we put big shamrocks in the windows - and our name is Petruccelli. But I am a quarter Irish. These days I find all the hoopla for St.Pat's just too much. But then, I'm an old grouch.

Believe it or not, these lights have been up since Christmas! They just swapped the x-mas stuff for red hearts at Valentine's day, then took those away and added green shamrocks for St. Patty's! So keep a lookout for Easter eggs in a month!

There's a house here (yes on LI! LOL!) that is decorated like that for all holidays. They have red icicle lights for Valentine's and now their house is all green.

We just have some shamrocks in the windows and my husband's Jewish (I know. It's not a nationality! LOL!) and I'm Russian, Polish, German, Finnish and Hungarian. Not a drop of Irish between us.

Erika, I'm not sure how I missed this house when it was decorated for Valentines Day. Perhaps I passed it thinking they still had their Christmas lights up.

I decorate inside, the windows and the front door. I do have flags outside, but no lights.

A long time ago I was in Philly and noticed a lot of the row houses had their front windows completely decked out for holidays other than Christmas. It seems to have spread.
