a view from borgia cafe
as I waited for my food, I could see vesuvio bakery was back in business! this was welcome news, maybe things are getting better. the last time I was in soho I noticed vesuvios had joined the long list of small businesses that had closed and needless to say I found it fairly depressing. I can be very sentimental at times - I have fond memories of buying bread there on my way home from work when I used to live on thompson street years ago.
cafe borgia is one of my favorite places to grab lunch when I'm visiting soho. I love the grilled mozzarella and basil with tomato sandwich & their vanilla frappes are so light and flavorful. the atmosphere is also very laid back, I've never felt rushed to finish.
