a quiet corner that in reality is sandwiched between lots of bustling students from both a middle school and a high school. personally I love the quiet though I know many people who prefer to be surrounded by lots of activity. what about you? what type of atmosphere do you prefer?
today is abc wednesday thanks to our host mrs. nesbitt. the letter for the day is Q. please go here to join in the fun.

Ah, Lily! You do find the lovely things for the day! Thanks for the reminder to enjoy the quiet! In the world today, it is an easy thing to forget!
Have a great day!
Sylvia
I love having a place to get away from all the hustle and bustle and just be Quiet. Nice picture for the word Quiet.
Reminds me of Rogers & Hammerstein's Cinderella: "In my own little corner, in my own little chair, I can be whatever I want to be."
Depends....sometimes when I want inspiration, I like to surround myself with activity. Other times, it's just a quiet place I crave.
Your photo is such a place for my #2 choice.
This is idyllic. Bibi mentioned your lovely photo to me - so peaceful. Glad I visited and a good reminder to tell me to calm down...
Very good post, Lily.
As for me, I like both quiet and busy places: it depends on my mood.
I think it all depends on who else is there. If it's only high school children I would prefer peace and quiet. If it's friends and family however...
Quiet is such a valuable thing. Today's world always seems to noisy. This looks like a lovely spot.
It's like a still life. Wonderful Q(uiet) post! Love the light and the warm color tones!
nicely done! I like the sliver of something beyond on the right.
very peaceful scene. I can imagine reading a book there.
Beautiful colors! Yea I have to be reminded to spend quiet time once in awhile. I'd much rather be in a group.
Thanks for the post.
Your picture would succeed in making me appreciate Fall !!
Beautiful! I thought this was a painting at first. The colors are vibrant yet soft, and the composition, framing is just gorgeous.
Take a look at some of my photos of long island I just posted at longislandinpictures.blogspot.com thanks ps. let me know what you think
lovely spot
I prefer the quiet
What a lovely photo, Lily! It really does evoke peace and quiet. Since I work in the heart of Manhattan and hear horns and sirens blaring all day, then ride the high-decibel subway home, I'm pretty grateful for the relative calm of my Brooklyn neighborhood.
this is really lovely! marvellous post.
LOVE this ...
I need my quiet time! I love the contemplative bench.
I love the quiet as well as the hustle and bustle. Surely a lovely and thoughtful photo!
beautiful tranquil shot. thanks. I could use that bench right about now!
