pool closed and puddle reflections...

and perhaps one of the biggest puddles I've ever seen! this photo was taken on thursday, before our big blizzard yesterday, we had lots and lots of rain. in fact, it was raining as I was taking this photo. and even though it was raining, people were happy. the snow was finally being washed away. little did we know...

for more weekend reflections, please visit james of newtown area photo here. thanks james!

Oh, this is an interesting image, Lily. Spring is coming, we hope!

It is not exactly the portrait of springtime, but your optimistic mood can't be wrong. And it is a nice photo.

Great picture Lily.

I was wondering how it could be snowing in Brooklyn yet raining on LI—but I see you got the white stuff too. It's prettier than rain, but then you have to slog through it for the next week or so. Enough! (At least Priscilla seems to be enjoying it.)

Nice reflection shot...I thought it was a pond at first!

LOL! Imagine that! WHY would they close the pool on a day like that??? That is quite a large puddle -- and it all looks just toooo familiar to me right now! As a matter of fact... it looks similar to out my living room window!

Thank very much for the nice comment that you left. Puddles are amazing place for reflection. This is really cool. I really like this reflection. Another thing that's neat about puddle reflections is they constantly change. They grow or shrink and also because of the sun's position.
Have a great weekend.

Nice reflection shot, and I love the contrast of the rain puddle with the left over snow. I understand that you got hammered again. I bet you'll be happy when it's warm enough for them to reopen the pool! Kathy

Lily, that's one big puddle! Hopefully it will dry up before the frogs find it!

Yes, a serious puddle. With all the snow this winter, the melt will be extra messy.
WOW ... that puddle looks like a LAKE to me! Kewl reflections from your wintry world.
Hugs and blessings,
