it's amazing how with just a bit of green the landscape becomes completely transformed. no doubt the sky's blue reflection is a big help too. I have never enjoyed spring as much as I have the last few years. I think it might coincide with my taking so many pictures, making me more aware of my surroundings. this post is a part of weekend reflections hosted byjames of newtown area photo. thank you james!
I think you're right about your reason for enjoying spring more lately—I too feel hyper-aware of every little change in the surroundings (another good reason for blogging?).
Noticing is important, I agree. By the way I just clicked on the link on your side bar , your book looks amazing. I shall see more of it in a while. Bravo.
Absolutely. Seeing the world through your lens makes you so much more aware of everything. I tried to stop the other day to photograph some trees in the rain but I would have been rearended! :( V
It looks so peaceful! You're so right about how looking through the eyes of a photographer enhances the way you experience the changing of the seasons. Spring is more glorious than ever!
Spring has changed a lot for me as well these past few years. Probably because I'm older, pay closer attention, learned so much about nature....keep on enjoying!! ~karen
Great reflection! The little green water plants (cattails?) add such a happy, hopeful feeling. Today's pansy shot is fabulous, too! Glad you enjoyed my SWF shot from the airplane--thanks for commenting! I took one coming home (but had the center seat) It's posted on my other blog (March to March) where I'm trying to post a photo a day--it does sharpen your eye!
You have heard of LI & its many stereotypes? You wonder if they may be true but wish not to risk visiting in the event that they are. Be bold then & visit me daily & I promise I will show you many sides of Long Island that you will be both amazed & inspired by.

This is a beautiful place Lily... Oddly enough, it reminds me of a shoebox diorama I made in elementary school many moons ago...
Just a few more weeks and this entire place would be lush! Have a wonderful weekend, Lily!
This is a beautiful photograph Lylly..
Love the green and the reflections on the water.

The tangle of woods in the reflection look like a maze separated by sky! Beautiful!
A fine entry for Weekend Reflections!

Great photo, I can place myself in this photo and hear the frogs and birds.
I definitely see the world differently since I started blogging. I'm always looking for the next picture.
Beautiful reflection today. Happy weekend!
