the bike path in the massapequa preserve was filled with surprises yesterday, this one being the sweetest. other surprises included a hawk soaring overhead as well as watching a pair of inseparable ducks and their human like antics. the preserve is an easily accessible nature sanctuary providing an oasis like antidote to the hustle and bustle of this crowded island, plus it's free!

Those swans are quite big!
What a beautiful shot, Lily! I do love the swans and they are BIG! Such a cute a little toddler, too! What a great place to visit! Hope your week is off to a great start! Enjoy!

Swans mate for life ... they are amazing creatures .. nice shot!
Love this shot. The toddler is adorable and the Swans are gorgeous, I would love to see a swan in person. We are suppose to have them on the penisula where my beach house is, but have yet to see one.
"Sweet" is the word.

Definitively Spring! It sounds like a marvelous preserve where I would love to be able to take pictures one day...
