here in the united states veteran's day is always on november 11th. this year since it fell on a sunday today is the day it will be formally acknowledged in terms of federal, state and local government offices being closed. hopefully the holiday will give some relief to all of those who were devastated by hurricane sandy and our recent nor'easter.
