roosevelt field,

a large shopping mall in garden city. the trees pictured here sit alongside one of the exit lanes. I actually took this picture last summer as I was waiting for a traffic light to change across the street. this area is one of the most congested places to drive in long island. although, if you look around a little there is always something nice to see.

You're right; beauty surrounds us if we take the time to "see." Sometimes it's difficult, especially if one is caught in a traffic snarl!

You make a good point Lilly, once you look past the car fumes and psychotic drivers there is beauty to the Long Island highways and such.
