raining blossoms

the wind was whipping these blossoms from the many flowering trees all over jericho turnpike. piles of them spread across the pavement as a result. this photo doesn't nearly capture the beauty of it, but you get the idea. I think if I'm going to continue this picture taking I better get a better camera!
so how has your week been so far?

Gorgeous, I love the blossoms but it is kind of sad to see them being blown away.

Wonderful! You caught them mid-flurry! Nice job.

I always feel so sad seeing the petals fall. Too soon, always too soon.

It's so cool that you actually took this picture. I saw this scene all over the place and I kept saying to my wife that it would make a nice picture. I was right.

I just caught up! A great series of photos. There are times when I wish I could get myself to post just one a day.

Hi Lily...I wish I'd have been there to see those blossoms flitting about through the air...I think I can smell them, though!

Its a great shot .. I was telling Vicki at MyMaracas that on our street the Ginkgo trees are dropping their green wormy looking spores .. not as pretty and makes walking slippery

Very nice capture of those pretty blossoms falling. I love to see them on the trees but they can be quite beautiful when they fall.

I think you did wonderfully here with the camera you have! I got some shots of the ground beneath the cherry trees in the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, where the fallen petals feel like a plush carpet beneath your feet.
