blurry puffy dandelions

remember my dandelion from just a little over a week ago? it is nowhere to be found. all that was left of it was its giant weedy looking leaves. I imagine it looked like this for a short time before the wind took it away. that's why the ones here are so blurry, it was quite breezy out while I waited for a still moment. I must have sat on the curb where these were for twenty minutes before I decided to give up. for some reason I still like this picture though.
oh and, you'll never guess what these are called! parachute balls! have you ever heard of such a thing? I found out on wikipedia. and if it's on wikipedia, it must be true.

What a great shot, Lily! It looks as though it's just about ready to fly away in every direction! Hope you have a lovely week!

Sylvia
There will be many more dandelions soon when all those seeds blow away! :-)

Nice shot of these pretty but pesky plants!

Re Wikipedia - remember the song from Porgy and Bess?

"T'ain't necessarily so.."

(«Louis» has found some serious errors and blatant agendas on Wiki posts...but that doesn't detract from this nice post, that's another topic for another place..)

Great shot...kind of illuminated dandelions!

I know, these dandelions just won't stand still! With my little macro lens attachment I was able to photograph quite a few, given that it has a very deep depth of field. These look like people peering into your lens, wanting to have their photo taken! :)

Such a wonderful photograph. Her ein Boston the dandelions are a week behind. I noticed some which were HUGE (7 inches high) just about to bloom.

Love your parachute balls! They bring back wonderful memories.

Lovely picture, the angle looks as though you were lying on your stomach to take it. Brought back memories of when, as children, we would help the wind by picking them and blowing the seeds off the stem to watch them fly.

I like these! Although I'm glad they're not in my yard. ;)

Great shot but I think its not 'blurry' .. the focus was on the background not the foreground ... not blurry at all .. out of focus for sure but still an excellent shot.

I love this photo. Like all of your other pictures, it's great. But. This one made me think of Ray Bradbury's novel, Dandelion Wine. How the father (I think it was the father) knew that summer had arrived because of the smell of fresh-cut grass.

Great perspective with slightly out of focus puffballs as we used to call them.
