autumn reflected

please click on photo to see reflections up close

I am sure it is obvious to many of you that I like photographing long island. I like to take pictures every day but sometimes I feel I come up a bit short. my goal in creating this blog was to try and document different things people see every day here on this island but may not fully notice. participating in the various memes that circulate throughout the internet helps me look at things differently than I think I normally would. for me it is an exercise in creativity.
today's photo was inspired by the meme "weekend reflections" hosted by james over at newtown daily photo. please go here if you'd like to check out a truly awesome reflection shot by james himself.

I like the way it shows just a little but enough to make it complete.

Autumn reflected in the glass is a great theme. In the picture it's as if autumn colours part of the wall.

Hi Lily. Those are neat looking windows and I also like that bench. The windows remind me of Tetris. The reflection is so vivid. Very nice shot. This could work well for a window and/or a bench meme too.

The reflection of the autumn leaves provides just the right amount of colour to brighten it. This allows the eye to notice the other objects too.

I like the warmth of the reflection against the stark building

that bench is exactly the same as the one in front of my bank - I did some sepia shots of it months ago
lovely reflections, they add depth and interest to the building...

Love this, Lily. You're very good (and getting better all the time) at looking past the LI clichés to find the LI beauty.

I like the way your reflections bring warmth to that cold impersonal building facade.
