have you ever heard of the expression, "snowbird"? I know some people who leave new york the day after christmas to live in florida until a few days before easter. sounds like a pretty cool gig to me. when I saw the signs on this ice cream shop yesterday, I wondered if they do the same.

Enviable, I guess! Glad they can afford to do so!
Though I wouldn't choose FL, I envy them the warmth.
I do love Rita's though. Wish they stayed around all year, but I guess that wouldn't be very profitable for them.
I'd never heard of the expression before. It'd DOES sound like a pretty cool gig to me. I bet that's what the owners of Rita's is doing. Lucky them. ;-)

I lived in south Florida for 3 years, a long time ago. Snowbirds is a term we all knew. I've lived in Iowa and Wisconsin for one winter each. GO SOUTH!!!
