suburban scenery

this is not an uncommon scene here in the suburbs of long island. various types of industry mixed in with strip malls, a mini garden and a lone residential house make for an interesting landscape. I often wonder who wouldn't mind living next to giant smoke stack on a major thoroughfare. perhaps they don't have a choice or maybe they don't mind at all.
