perfect lady in red texas sage

Autumnal-Blooms-Lady-in-Red-Texas-Sage

salvia coccinea is its official name. I bought a few of them for my larger planters last year. over the winter they reseeded themselves inside the planters and I wound up with a couple of dozen. I planted the extras in my flower garden. they grew nicely enough until the heat abated, then they bloomed and thrived like crazy. I have been enjoying them immensely.

Perfect lady is a perfect choice for P day. It's perfectly delightful, too. Perfectly wonderful it reseeded and multiplied so you could move some to other areas, too.

They are a beautiful red color! I'm curious after reading KaHolly's comment. Have you ever seen any hummingbirds where you are? I've never seen them in Brooklyn.

What a very pretty plant! Love the clear, red flowers. I'm impressed they seeded themselves and grew so big!

On behalf of the team, thanks for taking part in ABC Wednesday this week. :)
