I have a strong feeling a designer with a vision plan wasn't involved in placing this obtrusive street sign on this neighborhood sidewalk. well thought out suburban planning is a simple example about how good design can have a positive effect on a small town. and this haphazard street sign placement is a perfect example of why we need to encourage the STEM to STEAM initiative. please go here to read more about it.
Do people have to duck to get under it? Maybe there were thousands of people phoning City Hall and asking "Which light is for Secatogue?" I've never seen such placement before, anywhere. K
You have heard of LI & its many stereotypes? You wonder if they may be true but wish not to risk visiting in the event that they are. Be bold then & visit me daily & I promise I will show you many sides of Long Island that you will be both amazed & inspired by.

Does it cost any more to have well-designed, well-placed signage? I think not!
