this last thursday while venturing into greenwich village for a visit, my son and I came upon this scene. the woman in the pink baseball hat is teaching the girl how to let her guide dog be her guide. the beautiful canine was totally into the task at hand. it was pretty awesome to witness the three of them working together in the subway. it was even more awesome watching the young girl smiling as she learned.

It is amazing! I love those working dogs who always look nice and calm with their owners. And I admire the owners who dare venture into the subway. I don't want to do it and I can see. ;-) Wonderful photo.

This is a great photo! Years ago, we donated a dog to a service dog program, and I always smile when I see a yellow lab working!

I agree that this is a great photo and a good story to go with it. Well done Lily girl.
Nice shot and thanks for the explanation. Yes indeed the owners need as much training as the dogs.
