So in case you guys were wondering, the ants are attracted to scale. Scale is an oval shaped bump on the stems of the undersides of their leaves which produce a honeydew the ants like. Most importantly, the ants won't harm the flowers! I had to post a trumpet vine because they are blooming all over Long Island right now. I'm glad everyone liked it! Thanks for the nice comments.

Very interesting! Thanks for the explanation. I have a photo of some ants (a lot of ants) on a flower. Now that you've explained, I think they were doing the same thing. Hmmm... Maybe I'll post the photo.
