this photo was taken around 6pm-ish last night. the street was so quiet it was depressing. it was as if everyone packed it in for the night and began their five month hibernation ritual. I know, I am probably exaggerating a tad bit but I do not like the short days of the year and the days are just going to continue getting shorter, at least around these parts, until sometime around mid to late december depending upon which latitude you are at in the northern hemisphere. you can read more about that here if you'd like. for now, my greatest consolation is the days do start to get longer just as the winter season begins, so at least we have longer days when it starts to freeze. how do you feel about the shorter days?
