ida makes her presence felt on long island

please click on photo to see reflections up close

more rain and lots of high winds, like bordering on tornado type winds, winds that required my trying to shut my screen door with both hands! thanks to ida we were drenched most of the day yesterday, but at least it wasn't freezing outside. plus, the weather was kind enough to supply us with some nice "weekend reflections"!

today's post is a part of "weekend reflections" hosted by james over at newtown area photo. please go here if you would like to join in the fun. happy saturday everyone.

Great shots! I love the red in the first and really like the mood of the second one.
My daughter lives near Norfolk,VA and the storm was terrible there.
Hope bright skies are ahead for you.

Nice reflections of the bare branches! I hope Ida didn't do too much damage there.

Lily, great reflections! Your days look like mine here in Whitestone, Queens! But it's warmish, 50s/60s as I suppose it is for you. Have a wonderful weekend! :)

I do like the reflections, especially the colorful car lights in the puddles.

Wish I could trade some of our desert warmth and sunshine for some of your rain. I hope the winds settle down. Lovely reflections of the car lights on the wet street.

I like the first one best. Ida has kept us indoors for days here in south Jersey.

I love the bright spots of color in the first shot. The branches are reflected beautifully in the second. Nice shots! Kathy
