please click on photo to see pigeons faces up close
that's what it felt like when I pulled into the parking spot beside where all these wild pigeons were hanging out. though my camera wasn't able to capture the whole line up that sat atop the full length of this fence, you can see many on the ground as well as the dozen or so that are more noticeable. when I started snapping their picture they began flying all around me. I felt like I was in a scene from hitchcock's "the birds". watching as they continued to hover above me definitely sent some shivers down my spine.
today is abc wednesday and the letter for today is W. I picked the word wild to describe both the birds and my spine tingling experience with them.
please go here to see more W representations, thanks to mrs. nesbitt.

Very cool ph oto. lOoks like they're ganging up on you!
Be careful there, Tippi!
You're lucky they didn't drop some stuff to make you feel welcome!
Neat shot!
You might need to park your car some place else!
Jacob,
I've been crapped on by birds so many times over the years I've lost count. I've convinced myself to believe it means lots of good luck!
Too many birds can be frightening ,i agree ;)
It's like a scene from Hitchcock's the Birds.
wonderful images indeed!
Thank you for participating in ABC Wednesday!
I find this photo very funny. I can imagine how you must have felt in the midst of it.
Flying rats is what we call them .. nice shot tho!
Very cool shot!

I, too, thought of "The Birds" the instant I saw this. I remember watching an interview with him in which he talked about how man has always hunted animals and how he was fascinated with a story in which the reverse occurred.
So many wings!!!
Sherry
interesting photo....I would certainly have had flashbacks to the movie "The Birds" as well.
This is a fun photo...I also thought of the birds...it is even better enlarged with all the motion...someone edited the fence sign...
I love(LUV!) this shot!! The frame you captured the birds in is so beautiful, their wings seeming to disappear into the cold, grey sky....
I'm a bit late with this comment, but I love this photo.
We'll discuss more on Sunday!
