unfortunately this may be as close to it as I will get. & now that it is almost here it's hard not to get excited about it. earlier friday afternoon state troopers had this road overlooking the course completely blocked off. I imagined tiger woods taking his practice shots as I waited in traffic with the rubberneckers. last evening my son & I rode our bicycles down this same road to take a nice long look over the golf course before the onslaught of fans descend upon the town. starting monday the u.s. open begins and many roads in the surrounding area will be closed, including this one. I like watching golf every so often but my brother loves it so much he has taken time off from his job to volunteer as a marshall. I think that is pretty cool. I can't wait to hear his stories.
