Lily, what a beautiful place! I'd like to take a long walk there, and some photos too. :-)
I'm not a golf fan, but have always admired the courses. As a child, we always went sledding on the gold course in the winter.
Its a beautiful course, I remember the first Open held there ...
Bobbie, I used to go sledding with my friends on the course too. It was so beautiful being there with the snow falling and the beautiful extra large evergreens. It is one of my great childhood memories, thanks for reminding me.
Hi Pietro!
Hi Daryl, yes I remember that too. They fixed up all of Farmingdale in anticipation. This time, not so much. I'm guessing it's the economy.
What a lovely pictures, the colors are spectacular, we have so much on Long Island, all one has to do is stop and look. PGma
Lily -- where I grew up on LI, we had a 9-hole course right in our neighborhood—of course, we used it for sledding (if you're small enough, an enamel pan makes an awesome sled).
