turkey trot

we had to stop our car on the taconic parkway yesterday to let these turkeys trot, or rather I should say stroll by. they sure took their time. lucky for them we were the only ones on the parkway so there really was no rush. I was amazed at all the beautiful autumn color to be found in upstate new york. with a few exceptions of some color here and there, long island is virtually green by comparison, though upstate's colors definitely haven't peaked yet, maybe next weekend. have you been doing any leaf peeping?
