A-Christmas-Story-in-the-Suburbs

click on this photo to look inside the window and you will see the essential props that were used in the classic movie, "A Christmas Story". most obvious is the sexy lamp, remember it was the "major award" mr. parker won? upon closer inspection you can also see, not only ralphie's bunny suit, but the red rider bb gun that ralphie wished for that one memorable christmas. I love this display in farmingdale. this is the same house that does a scary job decorating for halloween too.

this post is a part of my world tuesday. to share a part of yours or just see more of others, please go here, thanks to klaus for hosting with his team of helpers, sandy, wren, fishing guy, sylvia and louise.

Oh, did this bring back memories! That movie was such a favorite of my kids and me and their Dad! We watched it every year! Thanks so much, Lily, for the fun memories! Hadn't thought about that movie in years!

Have a terrific week!

Lily, you mentioned on Virginia's blog that you were considering the Strangers Project for 2010. A group of Australian worked on a Strangers Project throughout 2009. It is just coming to a close now.

YOu may care to have a look and ask us any questions that you may need answered. We would be happy to help.

Great photo. What a wonderful idea for a window display. What did they do at Halloween? Hitchcock's "Psycho"? Or maybe "Carrie"?

That has to be the best Christmas movie of all. I'm so glad it's still on TV every year.

Thanks everyone!
I'm so glad you all know this movie. It really is so funny, always gives me a good laugh. Who couldn't relate to Ralphie in one way or another?

Marlene, I do like the "Christmas Carol" too! It is one of my all time favorites right up there with the original "How the Grinch stole Christmas".
