nightmare on conklin street

here is but a small snippet of what is displayed on this front lawn in suburbia. this is the house erika, a fellow long islander left a comment about recently. as you can see, it really is amazing. for as long as I can remember they have gone to great lengths to elaborately decorate their entire front yard with all things halloween. if you click on the photo, you should be able to see the guillotine over on the right. better yet, take a drive over to farmingdale and see for yourself. f you like halloween as much as I do, you won't be disappointed.
if you would like to see less nightmarish daily photos, head on over to abc wednesdays. today's letter is n, and you guessed it, this one represents nightmare!

Maybe this is to stop kids trick-or-treating?
Wow! That is a pretty scary but nice looking display! Love it! Good choice for an N post.
Scary n , but just right for this time of year.

What a lot of work they must put in. (But I don't like Halloween.)

That is a great shot, very impressive, the lighting is nice and spooky, I like the way the 'gown' flows, so eerie, I can just imagine little children being fascinated and scared at the same time. :-) Pgma

It's dreadful for the children, isn't it?... Or maybe they enjoy it very much! :)

Some people go to great lengths to entertain kids on Halloween, but not so much here! :D

Remember the house in our old village where they had all the decorations in the frontyard? That's one thing I miss about our childhood Halloweens. Love, DoubleHawk's Sister

Awesome posting, I have to get out and get my pumpkins. I put up tombstones in my frontyard cemetery.

I like Halloween displays much better than Christmas ones. Well, until the Christmas ones are put up. We have some over-the-top displays here in CT as well.

Perfect N!

I love how the ghost is standing dead center of the shot, while the rest of the decorations seem to surround it. It definitely has a nightmarish appearance. I also especially like how you see Scream's head sticking up from the ground on the bottom left-hand corner of the photo.
Oh, I'd have to cross on the other side of the street!

What awesome detail you get in your photos! A great angle that makes it look even spookier! They must need a LOT of candy to give away!
