I had to go into the archives for this one. it's the perfect time of year for thinking back on warmer days. this was taken last summer, my first day in rome, a much dreamed about family vacation. it was extremely hot and any bit of water was a welcome respite from the heat. italians must know this because there seems to be running water around every corner. this huge fountain spilled water over its sides, complete with a memorable reflection.

Love this, Lily! And it sure does take me back, so thanks for that too. We both went in a similar direction today: a sizzling summer day on the other side of the pond!

That's an AMAZING shot. At first I thought the street was flooded! Must be nice to look back on that holiday. Vacations that you dream of, then finally plan and take, those are the best.
This is a wonderful shot...reminds me of a watercolour.
