lots of wood chips and a beautiful blue sky. this large pile on the property of a local tree service appeared shortly after our recent storm. I like how the u pick pumpkin sign is still up. I guess they figure, why bother, halloween will be here before you know it anyway.
Looks like a camel's hump...On the sign, no different than leaving Christmas lights on the house all year (I have a friend who does that). Lovely shapes and gorgeous blue sky.
You have heard of LI & its many stereotypes? You wonder if they may be true but wish not to risk visiting in the event that they are. Be bold then & visit me daily & I promise I will show you many sides of Long Island that you will be both amazed & inspired by.

Yikes! —and I'm saying that even after seeing all the trees down in my Mom's LI neighborhood after that storm. What a mountain of mulch!
Imagine what another good wind would do with those chips!!

Beautiful photograph Lilly
Quite a pile!
Yes, I like the sign too. Maybe they're inviting us to help ourselves to wood chips.
Great picture, what a shame to lose all those trees though.
Amazing .. I wonder if they will sell it for mulch
This is scary...we're coming into hurricane season in a couple of months...had a good one last year so we've got our fingers crossed!
I like the composition of this photo and the blue sky is amazing. Too bad you didn't have a pumpkin to use as a photo prop.
That blue sky is gorgeous. A real robin's egg blue. Too bad so many trees were lost in the storm!
That really brings it home, so sad to lose so many trees, some are not going to have the shade they had last year. PGma
It's so sad that so many beautiful trees were lost in this storm!
