this brave new york city firefighter was only 46 when he died while securing the safety of the men of engine company 21 on september 11th. his memorial can be found at robert moses beach since he was also a member of the jones beach lifeguard corps for 25 years. captain william f. burke jr., "we will never forget".
Lovely tribute, such a sad day this is remembering all those that lost their lives and left those that loved them behind. I will never for that horrific day.

It was such a sad day wasn't it? We watched the reading of the names on TV as we lost friends, neighbors and business associates.
