I love taking pictures from a taxi when I'm in manhattan. I just sit back and click away! earlier today as we drove passed central park I realized these bleachers must have been set up for the saint patrick's day parade. I can only imagine how crowded this same spot will be tomorrow.
Hey Daryl! This is Central Park, 5th Avenue around 62nd Street. & courtesy http://www.saintpatricksdayparade.com/NYC/newyorkcity.htm,
The parade marches up Fifth Avenue past St. Patrick's Cathedral at 50th Street all the way up past the American Irish Historical Society at 83rd and the Metropolitan Museum of Art at 83rd Street to 86th Street, where the parade finishes at around 4:30 - 5:00 pm.
You have heard of LI & its many stereotypes? You wonder if they may be true but wish not to risk visiting in the event that they are. Be bold then & visit me daily & I promise I will show you many sides of Long Island that you will be both amazed & inspired by.

Oh yeah—it looked a bit different today, I'm sure. I've never seen so many people dressed in green!
