kindred spirits

that is what I call this patch of blue... 'kindred spirits'. among the first flowers to show up in my neighborhood every spring, I always look forward to them each year with immense joy. over the last several years, I've witnessed these little sprites easily triple in number. aren't they delightful?
this post is a part of the abc wednesday meme. if you'd like to see other representations of the letter K, or if you'd like to add your own K representation, please visit 'abc wednesday'.

We know those flowers will bloom to charm bees and other insects to take their pollen to other...but what are them for us?
But they really take our breathe away!

Love them...they just look so happy and carefree, growing green and proud against a still sleepy winterish ground. :)

Lovely vivid flowers. Our spring always starts white, then yellow, will have to wait for a month for the bluebells to appear.

Such pretty purple crocuses!

It has been so cold this spring that it is a marvel if any bulbs will bloom! My daffodils have been trying to open for a week! :)
