inside the walled garden at old westbury gardens I found this lovely pond filled with all kinds of reflections.if you'd like to see more reflections or add your own to the mix, please check out james ofnewtown area photo's wonderful 'weekend reflections' meme. thanks James!
What a fantastic place, Lily! And such gorgeous reflections! Love your capture for the day! Hope you have a lovely weekend -- in spite of the heat! Stay cool and enjoy!
This is a lovely, peaceful place. I love how each arch in the fence corresponds to and creates a perfect circle with, the dips in the brick wall behind.
You have heard of LI & its many stereotypes? You wonder if they may be true but wish not to risk visiting in the event that they are. Be bold then & visit me daily & I promise I will show you many sides of Long Island that you will be both amazed & inspired by.

very pretty - with lovely surrounds!
What a romantic place! Your picture makes me think of Monet, the french painter. Beautyful!
That's what I call a peaceful setting.
Nice reflections...looks like a beautiful place to visit!
So many lovely reflections. I could sit there for a while and "reflect".
Nicely composed, Lily. This has a lot to offer. I have read about Westbury Gardens but have never been there.
It's like Europe, and it's like China — the older civilizations knew the value of water for meditation and peaceful reflection.

Beautiful! I love the iron fence. The pond full of lilies and the fence coincide beautifully.
wonderful shot, Lily.
I love the koi, and all the different greens are cooling to the eye.

I have been there. :) Thank you for commenting on my blog! I mentioned that I used to live on Long Island. I am following you now as Beagle Mama. =D
