small though it may be, it is still a lovely place to browse for books. I hope this is one small bookstore that never closes! montauk bookshop is one place I always visit whenever I am in montauk. today is abc wednesday and today's letter is the letter B. if you'd like to see other representations of the letter B, or if you'd like to add your own B representation, please visit 'abc wednesday' .

Interestingly, we've had some major book chains close down here recently, but the small independents seem to be hanging in there {touch wood}. This one looks lovely, Lily.

That does look like a friendly and welcoming place! I hope it never closes, too!

I saw a hideous thing today; in a cut price bookstore, they had tipped a hundred or so hardbacks and paperbacks into a deep cardboard bin all higgledy-piggledy. Not only could you not get to the ones underneath to see what they were, but they were all getting damaged! Horrible!

It seems bookstores are closing right and left.
I hope some of these small shops can stay open. I love browsing in them.

Oh most bookstores are so massive..., but nothing is as special as a small bookstore where you can browse and perhaps have a cup of tea.
