my nephew turned sixteen yesterday. we actually celebrated two birthdays since he was born on his mother's birthday. his godmother brought this special cake to the party just for him and delicious chocolate cupcakes just for his mom. I felt so lucky to be around such thoughtful people. it was a fun night.

p.s. the cake was delicious, fresh sweet creamy frosting on vanilla cake with cannoli filling inside. my only regret was I was too stuffed to fit in a bite of one of the chocolate cupcakes.
