please click on photo to see the squirrel's nest
this tree was covered in leaves. remember the golden photo from last week I posted here? wednesday morning I walked outside and saw this bare tree against this grey sky, a sky that was so grey this photo looks almost as if it is in black and white. yesterday we had beautiful blue skies most of the day. I heard today will be more of the same. how has the weather been by you?
today is skywatch friday, if you'd like to see more skies from all around the world or if you'd like to add your own sky, please go here, thanks to klaus and his team, sandy, wren, fishing guy, louise and sylvia.

I love this picture, I'm always taking pictures of the sky through trees too!!
Terrific shot, Lily! Such a perfect capture of fall -- the gray and the beauty. The beauty is always there, we just have to look for it a little harder. You did, and captured it!
Have a great weekend!

It sure doesn't take long for the leaves to fall, great pic through the tree.
All the best

our skies have been much the same. I love the sky through bare trees (am not quite ready yet though, to finish with the exuberant colours!)
come and have a look :) > http://blogitse.blogspot.com/2009/10/whats-your-plan-mita-teet.html
Yes, there are some trees like that here now; definitely November is coming. I like this stark shot.
Such weird weather. We have a day or two of sun and then more rain. Autumn leaves are pretty, but not much really bright red this year. Very subdued.
I love how you composed this! beautiful
all the rain and wind had made the leaves fall so quickly this year
Still a lovely shot .. I love seeing the bare branches stretching toward the sky
Wow, what a difference a week makes. Fall goes by so quickly!
Beautiful trees against the grey sky. Here the weather is warm, we don't need overcoats yet!
One big wind takes care of the leaves. I see the squirrel nest. I'll bet it was invisible until the leaves were gone.
What a difference a few days of weather can make on your view of the sky. Hope the squirrels are tucked safe inside for the season.
Ah, I've been keeping a close eye on the weather around your way. For a rather obvious reason of course! I'm getting so excited about my visit, LilyH. :)
