mischief in the suburbs

please click on photo to see tp up close

I don't know why but it always makes me smile when I see a neighborhood home covered with bathroom tissue. I guess it reminds me of high school.
it's hard for me to say if I'd still smile if this happened to my own abode. I believe the official name for it is tp'd. what about you? have you ever woken up one morning and found your home the victim of some toilet papering high jinks?

You bet I have, and this takes me right back to high school....a good friend and I loved to tp friends' houses....and mine was done as well.

I might add that it is innocent fun; not permanent damage....

Never happened to me, but I agree - It is innocent, harmless fun, and that's the best kind.

OMG! And gets to clean that up? LOL! Thankfully, there's no serious damage done.

At least TP doesn't damage things --except perhaps the feelings of the young person concerned!!!

I used to see this all the time, but it's been a long time.
Good clean fun.

I wonder what sheryl crow would say about this? ;-)

Another excellent reason to live in the city ... isnt TPing a house something to do with HS sports?

Nope, I have never seen it here. Is that some kind of revenge or something?

Oh, yes, have seen that! And while it's a mess to clean up, it's still harmless fun that does no permanent damage and it makes a hell of fun photo which you captured perfectly! Definitely started my day with a smile! Thanks, Lily!

Enjoy your weekend!

I guess I have to disagree. I always thought it was such a waste to throw all that TP all over someone's house. Or maybe it was my intense OCD mother's reaction to it - how it would be such a pain to clean it all up. In any case, I see someone's house covered in TP and feel kind of sorry for them...

We've never been TP'ed, but have seen homes that were. My reaction has always been "Those poor people have to clean up that mess!" At least it wasn't raining. :-D

Yes, when my kids were in high school, we experienced this once. Not too hard to clean up as long as it doesn't get wet!
You captured the experience well.

Nice capture, Lily!
Last time I saw this (also on LI), it was a less-than-beloved teacher who was tp'd by students. Must say, I really felt sorry for the guy.
