this side of main street in farmingdale has had some bad luck with store closings lately. I'm hoping a little eatery like an old fashioned luncheonette or even a new stationary will fill this vacancy quickly.

This tickles me! If the store sold writing paper and such, it should be Stationery. But if it was "stationary" it didn't stay put; it up and went away. Hmm. :) Do keep us posted on the future of this cute little shop!
ah, I have to wonder how many of us write with our hands these days. Sometimes I do it to de-stress and half the stress I feel is from how foreign the pen feels. It's sad.
Agree with Cheryl....I don't know why people don't verify what they want on signs! On the other hand, maybe they thought the shop would stay stationary.
Like everything else .. small mom and pop shops are being squeezed out by the chains .. Papyrus is the card store chain here and its sort of disappointing not to have anywhere else to shop for cards, wrapping paper and other 'stuff' like that ..
