forsythia, rain and a giveaway winner!

and the winner is...happily retired girl!  handpicked by the random.org site. so much easier than picking names out of a hat! congratulations girlfriend!
the rain is back, raining down all over this island. supposedly it will stop raining tomorrow. until then, at least the forsythia is starting to bloom, brightening the place up a bit. besides, at least it's not snowing or really cold outside!
