as you can see this is quite different from the beach in yesterday's post. in actuality they both exist along the same shoreline and most of this beach is smooth and easy to walk on just like this picture shows.
Mm. That foamy surf makes me think, "If only that were beer!" Love the dog. When in doubt, cut to the dog. Some film director said that. Anybody remember?
Lovely shot. And I agree with Fred that including the dog makes a huge difference in the picture. I think it was Katheryn Bigelow who said "cut to the dog." Just kidding. I have no idea what director said "cut to the dog..."
You have heard of LI & its many stereotypes? You wonder if they may be true but wish not to risk visiting in the event that they are. Be bold then & visit me daily & I promise I will show you many sides of Long Island that you will be both amazed & inspired by.

Another lovely photo, I love the color of the water. I have been to the mountains so seeing the beach was a treat.
I love the beach ... as long as its in a photo .. not so found of sand, salt water ...
What a great shot. The color of the black dog really pops out against the backdrop of the sand. Yesterday's shot was really gorgeous too!

Another spectacular photo.
Clafouti is basically a french fruit custard pie. Very simple to make. Just google for recipes. :)
I really love the silhouette of the black dog just heading out of the photo.

have a great weekend!
Very beautiful image of the beach and the water. I seem to be there :-)
One of my favorite beaches anywhere—but, yeah, the dog makes the shot. Well done!
