I found the reflections on the water here so sweet and shimmery, I thought you would too. if you'd like to see more reflections or join in the fun, please check out james of newtown area photo's wonderful 'weekend reflections' meme. thanks james!
I'm several degrees cooler just looking at this! Isn't it lovely to live near the beach? I'm glad you manage to take advantage—these busy days I'm just getting there virtually via you.
Brrrr... I know how that feels! There is a reason I live in a tropical country! I love to swim, but I can only handle water so cold. Cool and refreshing is great, but ice cold? No thanks. It would be torture for me to feel hot and not be able to jump in. :-D
lol this is the beach we usually go to...but we have a season pass now so when we go for an hr or so we're at jones as it's only 20mins from our house.
You have heard of LI & its many stereotypes? You wonder if they may be true but wish not to risk visiting in the event that they are. Be bold then & visit me daily & I promise I will show you many sides of Long Island that you will be both amazed & inspired by.

Ohhh, I wish I could be there right now!
Oh, wow, Lily!
«Louis» can just feel the water and sand between his toes, er, hooves!
I love watching the sun's play with the sea. Very nice shot.
I was traveling on Google Earth and found Robert Moses State Park. I would need years just to soak up the power of that place.
Love the shadows and reflections. So shimmery-- like minnows.

wow. marvelous. very summery...
Have a great weekend
So shimmery! I am wondering what is the water temperature here? Would it cool an overheated body? Or would disappoint and be like a hot tub?
A perfect summer shot. I've been to this park, thanks for bringing back some childhood memories.
What a wide wonderful view, Lily!
Really delightful!
Wonderful shot! I almost smell the ocean and hear the sounds.
Light and life make this a great shot.
Francisca,
the water temperature is like ice! you get used to it after a bit, and then you start to freeze unless you move around a lot.

Did Priscilla go in, or is she afraid of the waves?
I would be nervous with Rupert near waves. He enjoys wading but is not much of a swimmer.
