a little different skywatch this week. this photo was taken while walking on the beach in montauk. there are some very expensive ocean front homes at the top of this staircase. I was standing at the waters edge as I shot this photo. personally I would settle for a home within walking distance to the sea.
if you'd like to gaze at more wondrous skies from all around the world or if you'd like to add your own sky, please visit the skywatch friday meme, thanks to klaus and his team, sandy, wren, fishing guy, and sylvia.

Great title, Lily! I'd love the ocean view, as long as my home didn't suffer the same fate as this staircase. Have a gorgeous weekend!
ha, funny! But dangerous too.
Great shot.
It seems they are in need of a new staircase .. ASAP
Great photo, this image says a lot.
Love your title, Lily! But I would like to see a little sturdier staircase! Gorgeous summer skies! I'm not within walking distance of our beach, but it's only a five minute drive and I love it! Fun post for the day! Hope you have a terrific weekend! Enjoy!

Have a great weekend

"And she's buying a stairway to heaven."
A scary stairway!
That's a lot of beach erosion. I'd love to have a home up there, too, right there on heaven's gate.
Nice capture of textures and contrasts....lovely.
Oh yes, I've seen those homes! Beach erosion from storms wreck havoc out there.
I'd like mu house to be on a solid rock cliff overlooking the ocean... it's all a dream. of course.
Stairway to Heaven turned into a Highway to Hell, didn't it?
Looks like the aftermath of one of our California earthquakes!
Love the earth and sky colors though.
Beautiful photo and capturing of the delicate nature of that beach eroding cliff.
hmmm....
That might 'spain why things feel like they've gone to hell...
Really a nice and interesting image with a splendid title!
Sorry I've been absent a bit; my friend Marianne, whom you met, is here, and we've been out and about!
These beach shots with the fence and stairs are great and remind me of 'Something's Gotta Give', a film I love.
I guess going back up with beach chairs and bags is a lot more work! Great find!
