zesty summer salad

I know this isn't the greatest photo, but this salad is such a good recipe I had to share it. & everyone loved its sweet hot, yet refreshing flavor when I served it over last weekend for our traditional family summer barbecue.
I believe the key ingredient is the tabasco sauce (and the fresh corn). I found the recipe by googling corn bean salad and up popped rachel ray's link, thanks rachel ray!
ms. ray used frozen corn while I opted for fresh, boiling it for ten minutes and then immediately running it under cold water and letting it drain. for some reason I always feel the need to tweak a recipe & fortunately this time it worked out well. please note there were no black olives or jarred tomato sauce in this salad. I am just a very messy cook!
also, please visit abc wednesday if you'd like to see other representations of the letter Z or if you'd like to add your own Z representation.

In my experience, the messy cooks are the best cooks! (I'm a very neat cook—oh well). Great choice for the letter Z, and I find nothing wrong with this photo.

On the contrary, this is one of my favorite photos. On first glance, it took me back home. I could see my older sisters, young and lithe, cooking and canning produce from our summer garden. There were three older sisters and five of us younger boys. It was like having very young mothers.

Zesty, indeed. The fresh corn sounds wonderful - I'm so anxious for summer foods.

You could share this recipe on my blog about recipes. It is getting some magazine coverage I am not at liberty to talk about just yet.

Do you have a homemade recipe you would share with our readers? No, you don't have to be fat to share them.

Zesty is an excellent "Z" word, Lily and this salad looks delicious! I've tried many of Rachel ray's recipes and most were very good! :-)
