sunflowers facing the sun

what is it about a field of flowers that is so wonderful? these all happen to be turned towards the sun, but they are equally beautiful from behind. if you double click on this photo , you can see more sunflower detail too!

That is awesome! I've heard that sunflowers do that, but I've never seen a whole field of them like that. Perfect picture, Ian! ~karen

These are fantastic. Sunflowers are very curious aren't they?

Good thing you mentioned upstate New York. I was puzzled as to how you found a mountain like that on Long Island.

Thanks from the boy from The Sunflower State.

Gorgeous shot, Ian has a wonderful eye for the unusual, most people would have taken the shot from the front.
I would love to lie on the sunflowers, breathe deeply and relax and destress. Such a beautiful place.

LOVE the composition here. Beautiful. I have a (long) series from when I was in sunflower field. They are truly addictive.

What an incredible sight this must have been to come across. Sunflowers are beautiful from the back, I agree and even more so in such great numbers. Please thank Ian for us and thank you for sharing this delightful photo.

Good you clicked this from behind (or else you would have seen more black faces)

"discovered sometime in the last few years that I love to write and click photographs" .. . . . . . . I thought that was my line, or rather should have been my line :-)
