this happens every year, so why am I surprised every year when it happens again? I go to the store looking for flip flops, a reasonable expectation for this time of year, and what do I see? halloween decorations lining the shelves, a sad reminder that summer is so short lived. these are kind of cute though aren't they?
to share a part of your world or just see more of others, please go to "that's my world tuesday". thanks to klaus for hosting with his team of helpers, sandy, wren, fishing guy and sylvia.

Wonderful halloween decorations. They are already in.
They are wonderful, but not yet!!!!! I'm not ready for fall! Love your photos as always, Lily! Have a great week!

I wanna hold on to summer a bit longer. Nice photo though.
Interesting tradition in your world.

This makes me feel cooler. I made frozen margaritas yesterday, and nobody wanted any. Everyone is so cooked from the heat, they can't see a good thing in front of them. And I drank a half-pint of Cuervo Gold myself. Not much, by my standards, but it was so hot, I didn't notice the ethanol in my blood. Thanks for cooling me off.
Oh no, not Halloween already?
Great pic!
a bit earlier for me ... i want to savour summer till the end ;)
In August? Sorry, but that's so inappropriate - it's still sunscreen time.
Nice picture, wonderful decorations

j'aime bien le costume des sorcieres ;))
Nooooooooo, please noooooooo!
I love the picture but it does not feel right yet. Enjoy your flip flops for two more months at least!
how odd? I'd think no one would be buying these now.
Three months is a bit too early, don't you think?
But yes, they're very cute!
It gets earlier each year .. absurd ... I believe the retail world is now mimicing the fashion industry which launches its fall lines in August
they are cute but i am definitely not ready for autumn yet.
Yes always wondered why stores put the Halloween stuff out before we've had our last summer barbeque. It was worse as a kid however with all the "back to school" supplies..!
I think we should just sell "seasonal" merchandise all year long. That's pretty much how things work out anyway. :)
They are cute though.
It's two-and-a-half-months to Halloween. It's too early for this. Next up - Christmas decorations.
What Al says. I'm not ready for Halloween now and I definitely won't be ready for Christmas any time soon (although at my magazine we're working on October now so Christmas is month after next). On the other hand, what a cute shot!
Great picture. I'm not ready to let go yet either.
Funny...I went looking for flip flops today as well...and couldn't find my size this late in the season.
Like Christmas in July over here... why not?
